Adult Volunteers

Volunteering with Scouts in Luton and South Bedfordshire - Give a Little, Change a Lot

Every week across the UK, more than 150,000 adults give their time to The Scout Association, helping nearly half a million young people gain skills for life.

In Luton and South Bedfordshire, our volunteers are doing just that – supporting young people to grow in confidence, resilience and kindness, while building a stronger local community.

Whether you can spare an hour a month or a couple of hours each week, volunteering with Scouts in Luton is flexible, meaningful and fun. From making drinks and organising kit, to leading a Beaver, Cub or Scout group, there’s a place for everyone – and no experience needed.

By volunteering with Scouts in Luton, you’re part of something bigger: a shared commitment to developing the next generation and giving back to your community, whatever your background or beliefs.

Who Can Volunteer?

You don’t need to have been a Scout. You don’t need special skills or outdoor experience. All you need is a little time and a big heart. If you’re over 18, you can join as an adult volunteer. If you’re 14–18, you can get involved as a Young Leader.

We welcome anyone, including:

  • Parents and carers who want to spend quality time with their children
  • Students looking to build skills and strengthen their CV
  • Retirees who want to stay active and connected
  • Professionals who want to give back or use their skills in new ways
  • Anyone who believes in supporting young people and building community.

Why Volunteer with Scouts in Luton?
